Greenwich team_Inna Gimenez Brand Director (4th from left), PJ Talosig Asst Brand Manager (5th from left), Pao Goze PR and Corporate Affairs Manager (6th from left)
Everything in life is bigger, better and more memorable if it’s all-in. From everyday barkada bonding moments to feasting on your favorite celebratory food – things seem larger than life if it’s done with everything you’ve got, just like Greenwich’s All-In Overload pizza.

Of course, when you go all-in with whatever it is you set your mind to do, you can expect to receive great results – aka success. What makes the moment doubly sweeter is when you celebrate personal successes with those who mean the most to you – your barkada. #GreenwichSagotKoNaoutrightly expresses that your success is also your kabarkada’s success.

Greenwich has always been a witness to barkada celebrations and it’s just right that it joins in on every Greenwich barkada’s fun by encouraging them to give their friends a virtual pat on the back with the “SAGOT KO NA” pizza party, because the treat is on those who give all-out support to you.

The All-In Overload pizza is loaded with ham, pepperoni, burger crumbles, bacon, Italian sausage, and Spanish sausage, plus green bell peppers, pineapples, mushrooms, onions and cheese –that has an all-in flavor in one freshly-made crust! This everything-on-it pizza tastes even better when it’s a “SAGOT KO NA” barkada blowout so you can share your blessings with your barkada.

One of the best things about the All-In Overload is that it’s best shared with the barkada. It’s not because it’s too filling, or the quantity can become too overwhelming for one person, but it is just more fun to eat it when the entire barkada is in town! Sharing a pizza that’s overloaded with toppings, flavor and that unmistakable all-in goodness with friends (and loved ones) is enjoyable because it heightens the experience you have with each bite.

With the “SAGOT KO NA” pizza party, Greenwich shows its utmost appreciation to its old and new barkada for choosing to make the brand a part of their lives, moments and memories.
The event takes inspiration from the All-In Overload TV commercial featuring Greenwich barkada Yassi Pressman, Robi Domingo and Enrique Gil. The “SAGOT KO NA” revelry is packed with games, surprises, heart-pounding music and rap battles, dancing, and of course, All-In Overload pizzas – just the kind of party that all barkadas will enjoy.

Maxicare holds its biggest health and fitness event with Maxifest 2019

Fitness is, without a doubt, the biggest trend in 2019 as it has the ability to shape better habits of living life to the fullest. With different exercise routines and innovative workouts that deliver sweat-inducing sessions, living your best life has never been more exciting.

For those who are always on the search for new and interesting ways to improve one’s fitness level, Maxicare Healthcare Corporation has got you covered as the country’s leading HMO provider that encourages people to live their best lives hosts MAXIFEST: Live Your Best Life at 5 E-Com, Harbor Drive, Pasay this coming December 15. The run is in partnership with one of the premiere race organizers in the country, RUNRIO.

“What makes this year’s MAXIFEST: Live Your Best Life different is that, aside from the series of running events which we have been doing for 2 years now, there will also be a Veggie Fest that will feature a festival of plant-based food products to promote healthy eating habits that one can incorporate into their life. We are also eyeing to become part of the Guinness World Record in our attempt to attract public attention on the importance of health and fitness. We hope that MAXIFEST will convince more and more people to make physical activity, as well as eating right, part of their daily routine to improve their quality of life,” said Maxicare chief marketing officer Archie V. Rillo.

Coming from the success of last year’s run, the event will once again include a 500-meter dash for three to 12-year-old kids, the 2k Senior Sprint for 60-year-olds and above, the basic 3k, the amiable distance of 5k, and the athletic 10k and 16k. The run is open to all as Maxicare encourages you to stay healthy so you can live your best life.

All runners will be given a race kit depending on their chosen course. It will include a race bib, timing chip, medal, singlet, and loot bag; an additional finisher shirt will be given to 16k runners. Assembly time is as follows: 500-meter dash is at 6:30 am; 2k at 6:15 am; 3k at 6am; 5k at 5:30 am; 10k is at 5 am; and 16k is at 4:50 am. Fees are also determined by distance: Php 550 for the 500-meter dash; Php 650 for 2k Senior Sprint; Php 800 for 3k; Php 900 for 5k; Php 1,000 for 10k; and Php 1,100 for 16k.

To generate more buzz and awareness on the importance of health and fitness, Maxicare will attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the most number of people hugging a soft toy simultaneously as the event aims to gather over 4,000 runners and event guests. For this event, each runner will be given a Maxibear, Maxicare’s official stuffed plushie, which runners will hug simultaneously to break the current world record. Cherry Run Elementary School (USA) in Burke, Virginia, USA is the current record holder.

At the end of the event, runners have the option to keep the Maxibear as a souvenir, or to donate it to kids of Kythe Foundation, Inc., the beneficiary of the event, as an early Christmas gift. Kythe Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, non-stock organization aimed towards improving the quality of life among hospitalized children with cancer and other chronic illness.

The Cakeshop by Sonja Supports LoveYourself Foundation

The advocacy aims to celebrate the second time a person recognizes his/her/their new gender identity in a bid to renew lives, push for acceptance, give pride and celebrate genuine love in society.

The "My 2nd First Birthday” campaign launched with a short film featuring celebrity fashion stylist, Vince Uy, and introduced a special line of cakes, featuring designs and colors inspired by the LGBT community.

Sonja shares, “I think ‘2nd first birthday’ is just us owning who we are, whoever that is –I mean we try sometimes to hide that part of ourselves, but we forget that what makes us unique is just about celebrating and fully accepting who we are, and being proud of it.”

Fondly called pride cakes, choose your flag from five interchangeable designs…because it is what’s inside, human or cake, which matters most.
O-Gay cake. A layered chiffon with a surprise of chocolate nibbles inside.

Les-bi honest cake.  A layered chiffon slathered with marshmallow icing.

BI-the way, Transtastic, and Queerly beloved cakes. A pound cake covered with thick butter cream of colorful layers inside representing the different LGBTQ flags.
A portion of sales from each pride cake will go to the LoveYourself Foundation.  A community that advocates pride and self-love, the foundation provides aid to HIV+ patients.

Paul Junio, Digital Strategy/Brand Management Head, LoveYourself Foundation adds, “The ‘My 2nd First Birthday’ campaign celebrates the diverse identities of the LGBT community. It gives us the chance to affirm our commitment to acceptance and inclusivity in our society. I feel this campaign will further normalize conversations about people celebrating their unique identities to the point that they don’t need to have a ‘coming out’ moment anymore.”
Together with the launch of Sonja’s pride cakes is a vertical film in collaboration with Vince and agency Dentsu Jayme Syfu.  Showcasing the birthday celebration of different individuals across all genders, the short celebrates embracing identities.
Apart from starting conversations and marking milestones, Vince simply says, “Some people feel afraid to celebrate who they truly are. Sometimes, in life, we need to take a leap of faith and, sometimes, the greatest rewards come from having faith that everything will fall into the right place.”  He adds, “Learn to love yourself. There’s no other way to put it but loving yourself is a whole lot process by itself but learning to do it can do many things for your life, and that includes celebrating who you are”.
With a slice of sweetness and color, this campaign aims to institutionalize the existence of October 11 as National Coming Out Day in the Philippines, and elsewhere, by inspiring courage and acceptance in the community.
The soft-spoken Sonja deftly slices the cakes, and hands out a piece of the conversation to us.  “We try to be inclusive. It’s our business towards our customers, (and) we try to welcome everybody. We want to encourage them to be themselves and to find the things that make them happy. I’m proud that we could help in our own little way”.
